How much code should be tested by one-unit test? Can mocks make refactoring hard and lead to easily-breaking tests?

Meetup at SAP CX Munich

These are the questions SAP Customer Experience together with the Munich Software Craft Community tried to discuss and tackle during a MeetUp event that took place at our Customer Experience Labs.

This was our fifth MeetUp event of the year where we collaborated with local developer and programmer groups here in Munich, it was unique as we previewed a video on “Test Driven development, where did it all go wrong” by Ian Cooper where these and related points were expressed in brilliant ways.

Great technical discussions

This was followed by a 30 Minute session of a “Kumbaya” ring sort of discussion where participants got to share their own experiences when it came to Code Testing and Quality assurance efforts throughout Software Development Cycles, with cold Drinks to Hydrate the participants and enough Pizza to fuel them up, the Event went on until 10Pm with many of the participants moving to the Cooler Terrace (which seemed to be side attraction after the Event!)

It was definitely an evening to remember and we are already looking forward to our next events and collaborations, starting with the SAP Customer Experience Open House event that we are hosting on the 19th of September at our Training Labs in Munich.
